The Mo Bros of Grampian Fasteners have decided to donate their faces to raising awareness of prostate cancer (a disease which kills one man every minute, in the UK). We'll be growing our moustaches for the entire month of November, which we know will generate conversation, controversy and laughter.

Inaugural Ellon Pedal Car Championship a roaring success!
06 September 2010 :
This weekend, Grampian Fasteners' Team GF Racing took part in Ellon's first ever Pedal Car Championship. The event, which the company also sponsored was a complete success and proved very popular with the local crowd. 11 teams took part in the 30 minute endurance test through the streets of Ellon with Ythan Cycle Club''s team the eventual winners.

Grampian Fasteners set to sponsor 1st Ellon Pedal Car Championship

As part of it's ongoing commitment towards engaging and building stronger ties with the wider community, Grampian Fasteners are pleased to announce sponshorship of the inaugural Ellon Pedal Car Championship. The event is to be held on Sunday 5th September and will consist of two cycle races and the main pedal car race - all running through Ellon town. With a barbeque set by the riverside, local market and trade stalls, jumping castles and children's entertainment throughout the day - this is set to be an exciting, fun-filled, family day out. All are welcome!

Grampian Fasteners Passes new ISO 9001:2008 Certification

Grampian Fasteners, a B2B provider of industrial fasteners and associated products for engineers and professional tradesmen, is pleased to announce today that it has successfully passed the new IS0 9001:2008 certification audit with no non-compliances. The audit was conducted by ISOQAR – an independent, accredited auditing body.
Managing Director, Gary Henderson stated, "This is an important milestone for Grampian Fasteners'' quality management system but more importantly, it means our customers can have full confidence in our organisation, and our commitment to both product quality and customer service."

Grampian Fasteners Appoints New Operations Manager
15 April 2010 :
Grampian Fasteners have made a series of key managerial appointments in order to improve the company's operations and, ultimately, the service to it's valued customers. Ann Doyle has been promoted to the position of Operations Manager and is joined by Russell Rhodes, the new Sales Manager, Alexandria Boscian (Trade Shop Manager), Sandy Moir (Purchasing Manager), and Ian Duncan (Warehouse Manager).
Grampian Fasteners continue to bolster their team as the company positions itself for growth - with new additions to the warehouse and sales teams expected in the coming months.

Grampian Fasteners have launched a newsletter, created to highlight developments at the company and key suppliers. The newsletter, which will be emailed to all Grampian Fasteners customers, will be used to make important announcements regarding new products, offers and discounts, technical advice, etc.

UPprentice team celebrates CLAN success
27 November 2009 : Members of Grampian Fasteners'' team No Black Cab joined other north-east businessmen and women in celebrating their fundraising success at an awards dinner event held at the AECC last night. Grampian Fasteners was awarded most innovative fundraising idea for its Clannonball Run - a gathering of luxury cars which invited participants to ride in style to Balmoral Castle. Grampian Fasteners, who also won the award for best media coverage , managed to raise over £3000 for the charity - the teams raised a total of £140,000.

No Black Cab launches campaign to win The UPprentice
02 October 2009: Grampian Fasteners are participating in The UPprentice, a competition in which teams are challenged to test their entrepreneurial skills and business acumen to raise the most money for locally based cancer-support charity CLAN. In support of this worthy cause, Grampian Fasteners'' team ''No Black Cab'' is organising The Clannonball Run, a unique gathering of luxury and exotic supercars, for a run starting from the AECC through The Royal Deeside to Balmoral Castle. The event will take place on the 1st November 2009.

Business student races to prestigious enterprise award
04 September 2009 : Katy Bowman (22), a Business Studies student from Inverurie, has been crowned Grampian''s Most Enterprising Student 2009 in an industry placement scheme run by oil giant Shell. Katy, who is studying at the University of Edinburgh, spent the summer working on a project investigating the feasibility of introducing a mobile store / sales vehicle for motoGF - a subsidiary of Dyce-based Grampian Fasteners. Gary Henderson, MD of Grampian Fasteners said, “she gave an excellent presentation of her work and I was proud of the manner in which she represented the company”. Katy will now represent the Grampian area at the Scottish Final in Glasgow on October the 8th.

Girls Run Faster - Bosses compete in Great North Run 09 in aid of charity
17 July 2009 : GF Director Pauline Souter and MD Gary Henderson are running the Great North Run ''09 to raise money for Farplace Animal Rescue; a strict, no kill, animal rescue organisation. Farplace Animal Rescue is creating a network of sanctuaries across the UK and beyond, in addition to supporting and funding the National Animal Sanctuary Alliance (NASA).

Anti-Dumping Duty
03 December 2008 : Prices of High Tensile fasteners are set to increase significantly with the news that anti-dumping tarrifs of 87.3% are to be applied to imports from China. Reports from fastener industry sources have said measures have been approved but there has been no official confirmation so far. We will keep you up to date with all the latest developments.
